I’m back from Quilt Market in Houston. Market is always so busy, with long days of hard work. But it’s exciting to talk with others in the industry, meet new people, and take in all of the inspiration. And there’s so much to see, you can’t do it all.
My friend Joni came with me, and she was a great booth-buddy. Here is a picture of the booth when we got it all set up:
Just before I left for Market, I read the latest issue of American Quilt Retailer, a trade magazine that provides shop owners with information on industry trends and advice on how to run a successful quilt business.
They do product reviews on new items, and included a review of the Folded Corner Clipper!
They called the Folded Corner Clipper “Brilliant!”. Thanks, American Quilt Retailer! It’s so rewarding to hear nice comments from quilters who have used the tool and see it’s benefits. Most of you are already familiar with the Folded Corner Clipper, but if you’re not, please see the category links on the right side of this page.
I must confess, I don’t have all of this picture-taking blog-posting thing figured out yet, so I forgot to take many pictures of Market to share with you. Hopefully next time! But I do have this picture that Joni suggested after we went to the infamous Sample Spree sale, where vendors sell new items before Market opens. I shopped for fabric and found lots of inspiring FQ Bundles for future design projects. It filled my carry-on bag, and should keep me busy for a while! Wow!
